Driveways
Oscar Cruz Construction pours concrete driveways and walks with its own crew. Our crew pours concrete driveways from start to finish: clearing and grading, gravel base, forms, the pour and the finish. You can watch several of them in our videos, including long driveways on wooded lots and a full crew finishing a fresh pour.

Walkways and paths
- Front entry walks in plain or broom-finished concrete.
- Stamped concrete walks, including the medallion design you can see in our photos.
- Flagstone paths and side entries. Our photos show one from bare dirt with a drain set, to stone laid, to finished.
- Paver walkways, including along pools.
- Brick edging along walks and beds.
How we pour a driveway
- Clear and grade. Roots, soft soil and old material come out, and the ground is shaped so water runs off the driveway, not toward the garage.
- Gravel base. Gravel is spread and compacted to give the slab a firm, even bed.
- Forms. Boards are staked along the edges to set the shape and height.
- Pour and finish. The crew places the concrete, levels it and finishes the surface, then cuts or tools control joints so any cracking happens in a straight line.
- Let it cure. We tell you when it is safe to walk on and when to drive on it.
What drives the price
- Length and width of the driveway or walk.
- How much clearing, grading and base work the ground needs.
- Tear-out and haul-away of old concrete or asphalt.
- Finish: broom-finished, stamped, or flagstone and pavers.
- Slope and access for the concrete truck.
Driveway and walkway questions
Can you fix just the bad part of my driveway?
Often, yes. We patch and replace broken sections and aprons. If the slab is failing everywhere, Oscar will tell you honestly that a new driveway is the better spend.
Do you do stamped concrete?
Yes. Our crew stamps concrete by hand, including medallion patterns on walkways and full stamped patios.
Can you widen my driveway?
Yes. We pour extensions and parking pads beside an existing driveway and match the edges.
Can you redo the walkway at the same time as the driveway?
Yes, and it often makes sense. The front walk can be poured, stamped or laid in flagstone while the crew and equipment are already there.
